Summary: Piper Marie Events is an elite Wedding Planning company headquartered in Tampa, FL. Interning with PME is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the large and competitive wedding industry in the Bay Area. Interns are expected to join our team for a minimum of 1 season (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter) with the opportunity to be promoted to an Associate Coordinator at the end. We are looking to expand out team of 4 women with an individual who is passionate about events, customer service and having fun.
Responsibilities and Duties: Interns are responsible for assisting with execution of Weddings on the Day-Of. This includes: attending a pre-wedding preparation meeting, unloading decor (must be able to lift and carry larger objects and boxes), set up of decor to client/Lead Planner’s specifications, assisting with directions or questions from guests or vendors throughout the evening, breakdown of decor at the end of the evening. An average wedding day would require onsite work from 12pm - 11pm with a break for dinner, although this will vary.
Qualifications and Skills: Saturday availability is required. Availability on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays is preferred. You will not be required to work every Wedding on the schedule, but it is preferable that you make every effort to work as many as possible. Skills needed include customer service driven mindset, excellent communication skills, team player (internal team and external vendors), maintaining a positive attitude, ability to retain and execute details, self-starter with the ability to work independently, and the physically ability to lift objects and stand for long periods of time. It is preferable to have experience in event management, hospitality or customer service, although it is not required.
